Vehicle Lettering

Whether it's a company truck, boat, car, or golf cart vinyl lettering will help you personalize your vehicle or get your message out to potential customers.

Every one of your company vehicles is a potential "rolling billboard".

Lettered trucks and trailers are among the most cost effective ways to get your message out.  We all sit at traffic lights or follow a lettered truck or trailer down the highway almost daily.  Let your message be one of those that stands out in the crowd.

Mitchell Design & Graphics letters all vehicles from 18 wheelers to golf carts and everything in between.

The Process

Self-adhesive, computer cut, vinyl is one of the most common materials used in vehicle lettering and graphics today. It is a durable, PVC film manufactured in sheets and rolls in hundreds of colors and patterns. Mitchell Design & Graphics, Inc. computer cuts lettering, logos and other graphics in the sizes and colors required to meet your project specifications.

Vinyl adheres to glass, aluminum, steel, plastic, wood or virtually any clean, smooth surface. Most of the professional lettering and graphics you see around you every day is created this way.

At Mitchell Design & Graphics, vinyl is used extensively for window graphics, vehicle lettering, boat lettering, trailer lettering, and a variety of other commercial uses.

Art Requirements

Vector Art is art that is built (actually drawn) in a vector or object based program such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Flash, Corel Draw or Macromedia Freehand. Each object in vector file can be selected and individually manipulated independently from the rest of the image.

Vector Art is the BEST to send us!

Common files extensions for this type of file include .ai, .eps, .cdr and .fla.

When providing such files, it is important to convert fonts to curves or create outlines for all text used. For a vector art file (i.e. Adobe Illustrator file) with no placed images resolution is not a concern.

Photographic Art (or photo realistic design), also known as Raster Art, is art that incorporates scanned in imagery, or art that is built in a pixel based program such as Photoshop, Fireworks or Photopaint.

Common file extensions for such files are .psd, .tif, .jpg, .gif and .png.

This includes any art built in a vector based program that also incorporates imported or placed photographic elements. In order to reproduce a photographic image, we require a file with a resolution of 300 dots (pixels) per inch or the actual photo.

Art created in word processing program, spreadsheet programs, or powerpoint is unacceptable.

Common file extensions for such files are .doc, .xls, and .ppt.

Vector art can pretty much be used as is. Raster Art nearly always needs some work and may incur an art charge.

Remember, the final design of your truck, trailer, or golf cart is only as good as your artwork.

...but why worry about any of that?  Let our artists take your idea, do the art, and produce a "rolling billboard" that you will be proud to drive.
